Designed in 1971 by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù, Parentesi is an iconic direct light lamp characterized by its ingenious tension system between ceiling and floor.
The vertical movement of the light body is achieved by sliding a profiled steel tube, painted with liquid paint or nickel-plated, on a steel cable tensioned between the ceiling and the floor, with a useful length of 4000 mm.
The head of the fixture, made of injection-molded black elastomer, incorporates the switch, allowing for convenient and direct use.
The electrical cable, with a useful length of 4000 mm from the lamp holder, offers flexibility in installation and in the position of the light source, ideal for precisely illuminating reading areas, work areas, or specific elements of the space.
