In the early 1900s, former oil baron Henry Morrison Flagler became interested in the South Florida coast and began to develop an exclusive tourist community, this project included the construction of two luxury hotels and a railway to facilitate access, his hope was that the most powerful families in the United States would establish their residences in the area.
This modest community would later evolve into an iconic destination in the United States, hosting British royalty, American movie stars, and becoming the second home of some of the country's leading families.
