INTERVIEW 50 YEARS
In 1969, Andy Warhol launched Interview, an underground film magazine that quickly became an iconic symbol of New York City culture and style.
Monthly expansive conversations and irreverent focus opened doors to intimate circles of New York society and became a launching pad for creative talents like André Leon Talley and Fran Lebowitz.
With a vibrant mix of rising celebrities like Madonna and Leonardo DiCaprio, along with the legendary presence of Elizabeth Taylor and Steven Spielberg, the magazine became known as "Pop's Crystal Ball".
Now, fifty years after its creation, this volume runs through the photographs, interviews, and columns that tell the story of American culture in detail decade after decade.
Interview 50 Years tells the story of the iconic magazine in detail through 975 images and text from former editor Bob Colacello, essays by editor-in-chief Nick Haramis and editor-in-chief Christopher Bollen, plus additional contributions from students and friends.
