Verner Panton designed Panthella in collaboration with Louis Poulsen in 1971.

Panthella is one of Panton's most emblematic works, and with this lamp the designer sought to create a light in which both the foot and the shade served as reflectors.

Panton combined this idea with the organic forms so characteristic of his creations, resulting in ambient light without any glare.
