Inspired by the intricate craftsmanship of Murano glass, Gio by Luca Nichetto for &Tradition celebrates the timeless beauty of layered glassware, reinterpreted through a modern lens.

The conical shape of the aluminum thread shades pays homage to master Gio Ponti and his legacy, especially in his iconic Murano chandeliers.

Ponti's vision of simplifying the traditional form by eliminating excessive embellishments and incorporating vibrant color combinations resonates strongly in Nichetto's own work.

The name, Gio, pays homage to Ponti, honoring the designer's artistic practice and celebrating his ability to combine tradition and modernity into a cohesive expression.

The lamp functions as an upward light that emits softly from two levels into its surroundings and as a downward light, with a hole at the tip of the larger cone directing light to the surface below.

Available in two sizes, Gio fits a variety of spaces, both large and intimate. Whether on or off, the lamp's silhouette becomes an attractive centerpiece, thanks to its thoughtful design that takes advantage of the interplay between light and color.

Gio includes a 600 cm PVC cable and trim.
