Archivist is a British brand that transforms an everyday object into a piece with character, paying particular attention to the illustration and finish.

This square matchbox, one of its most iconic designs, features a charming scene of a lion and a cat playing, accompanied by the text “Superior Safety Matches, Made With Love.” A decorative and functional item, designed to add personality to a coffee table, mantelpiece or gift drawer.

Inside, it contains 125 matches ready for lighting candles, fireplaces or incense, with natural sticks and white heads. The box is printed in the UK using letterpress, a traditional process that adds texture and depth to the design.

As they are made from natural materials, the matches may have small structural imperfections inherent to the material.

Although quality checks are carried out, it is not possible to test each match individually; therefore, it is recommended to light them gently and always away from the body, on non-combustible surfaces.
