The renowned French designer Pierre Paulin originally designed the iconic Pacha Lounge Chair in 1975. Paulin conceived this armchair in keeping with the emerging style of his time, replacing the austerity of post-war design with a new, dynamic and expressive approach.

He succeeded in bringing a true sense of elegance to the rounded forms of the Pacha Lounge Chair by finding the perfect proportions, raising it slightly above its base and creating distinctive inward-sloping seam lines in the foam and upholstery.

This outdoor version with armrests adds an extra touch of comfort and enveloping support to the original design, adapting it perfectly for outdoor enjoyment on terraces, in gardens or on patios. It preserves intact Pierre Paulin’s philosophy and his commitment to the concept of low-level living, a modern way of living and sitting close to the ground that dispensed entirely with traditional legs.
