Tamoto by HAY is a range of minimalist-style beds with a very contemporary look, conceived as a hybrid between a bed and a sofa. Its design is not limited to sleeping; it also serves as a comfortable base for reading, working or watching television, thanks to a generous, cosy headboard that invites you to lean back.

The piece is designed by Shane Schneck and takes its cue from the draping quality of kimono sleeves, which inspires the innovative use of a pleated fabric over the frame. This draped headboard is balanced by a generously proportioned steel tube frame, creating a contrast between softness and solidity that defines Tamoto’s identity. Furthermore, the headboard has a removable cover, making daily maintenance and care easy.

Available in various sizes and colours, Tamoto is offered with Metaphor upholstery, a fabric blend designed to provide texture and durability. For an optimal complete solution, we recommend using Standard bed slats and Standard mattresses with the Tamoto bed.
