The CH101 armchair by Hans J. Wegner is an armchair with a slim form, but extremely comfortable. It is built on an inner frame of solid beech wood and two arm elements, upholstered by hand according to the highest quality standards. For dimensional stability, the seat and backrest cushions have a foam core encased in a down cover for increased comfort. The leather upholstery is removable and has discreet ventilation holes.

The flat stainless steel frame consists of a longitudinal rail that connects to the leg with glides at each end. Stainless steel is also included in the armrests, where it supports the armrests but also covers the upholstery at both the front and back. This creates an interesting contrast to the upholstery.

The CH101 armchair was designed, at the time, as part of an exclusive range of office furniture and today represents some of Wegner's best work in stainless steel.

The CH100 series was relaunched in 2008 to celebrate Carl Hansen & Søn's centenary.
