The CU CH45 cushion set for the CH45 rocking chair consists of a separate seat and neck cushion. Its soft down filling adds extra comfort to the seating experience, and its fabric or leather upholstery allows for customization.

Hans J. Wegner, known as the master of the chair, with some 500 designs behind him, was fascinated by rocking chairs. 

Thanks to his meticulous approach to design, which reduced it to the very essence of comfort and functionality, after years of refinement he came up with this captivating rocking chair for the modern era.

Designed in 1965, the CH45 rocking chair is part of a larger series designed by Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn, which includes the CH44 armchair, CH46 and CH47 dining chairs, and CH53 stool, all of which are still in production today.

CH45 conveys the elegance of Nordic simplicity, which references the Shaker era, with a reclining ladder back and woven paper rope seat that is repeated in the other designs in the series.
