Obello represents American space age design at its finest, and its shape perfectly captures the futurism and optimism typical of the era.
Designed by Bill Curry in 1971, the lamp resembles a mushroom and is formed from a single piece of hand-blown glass.
Obello has two built-in LED bulbs with different intensities, the brighter one directs the light towards the screen and the dimmer one towards the support.
Although designed in the 1970s, Obello was not produced until decades later.
Unfortunately, Curry died before the lamp was finished, and he didn't even get a chance to give his prototype a name. In collaboration with the Curry family, GUBI has released an innovative wireless version that honors Bill Curry's futuristic original design.
Obello includes a rechargeable Li-lon 18650 2600mAh, 3.6V battery, and two LED bulbs with an approximate duration of 25000 hours.
Obello can be used outdoors, but it must be removed in case of rain or frost.
Obello is made to order, the estimated delivery time is 3 to 6 weeks.
