Designed in 1999 by Lluís Dilmé, Xavier Fabré, Eulàlia Serra and Ignasi de Solà-Morales, the Liceo pendant lamp is perceived as a striking ball of fire that adds a touch of splendour to spaces with the most demanding architectural requirements.

It was created as part of the reconstruction of Barcelona’s Gran Teatro del Liceo following the devastating fire of 1994, designed to provide a dramatic, warm and historically rich lighting effect.

Its imposing presence consists of a central spotlight at the base that projects an enveloping indirect light upwards, sheltered by a large spherical shade made of non-flammable bronze mesh, hand-crinkled and anchored to a solid steel frame.

This technical specification covers the two sizes available in the collection (Liceo 70 and Liceo 120), designed to take centre stage in large halls, atria or large-scale spaces.
