Designed by Konstantin Grcic in 1999 and winner of the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award in 2001, Flos’s Mayday is an icon of industrial design conceived as a practical and accessible multi-purpose lighting tool.

Its versatile design features a practical, multifunctional handle/hook that allows it to be carried, hung up or used as a cable holder for its 4.85-metre-long cable. Its conical opal polypropylene diffuser emits soft, diffused light and includes a small triangular notch that makes it easy to hang from a nail or hook.

Committed to sustainability, it is made from polypropylene sourced from industrial waste and assembled entirely without adhesives, which makes it much easier to dismantle and recycle at the end of its useful life. Available in a range of colour finishes, it is the ideal light fitting to bring functionality and a contemporary touch to any corner of the home, workshop or studio.
