The Doric Table by GUBI, designed in 2021 by the Danish-Italian studio GamFratesi, is a contemporary reinterpretation of the architectural orders of classical Greece.

Its defining feature lies in the concave groove carved into its four legs – a removal of material from the solid stone that lends a sense of lightness and softness, whilst creating an ornamental motif inspired by the fluting of Doric columns.

The understated rectangular or square geometry of the stone top is balanced by subtly rounded corners, creating a play of contrasts between mineral weight, formal rigour and visual fluidity.
