The Moragas table lamp by Santa & Cole, designed in 1957 by the architect Antoni de Moragas Gallissà, was originally created for his own personal use in his professional practice.

A driving force behind post-war architectural renewal in Spain and the first president of the ADI-FAD, Moragas shaped a piece with a striking rationalist presence which, it is said, he used on a daily basis to tuck notes and business cards into the folds of its shade. Its design is based on a generous cylinder of solid sapele or natural oak, atop which rises a lamp head fitted with three bulbs arranged radially.

Its iconic circular shade, made from white cotton ribbon—a material commonly used in bookbinding—features a subtle lateral rib whose asymmetry creates a cosy atmosphere of light and shadow when held up to the light.
