Using the technique of punch needle embroidery, the artist transforms her own travel photographs into embroideries full of texture and colour, preserving fleeting memories and evoking an atmosphere of reverie and intimacy. Each work is a tribute to the cultural icons, landscapes and simple gestures that define our emotional memory.
Adrienna Matzeg is an internationally recognised Canadian textile artist with a degree in Photography from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Her work has been featured in media outlets such as Colossal, The Globe and Mail and STIRworld, and is part of private collections around the world.
