The Series 7™ chair (Model 3107) in its Fully Upholstered version represents the ultimate expression of comfort, tactile luxury and ergonomic sophistication within the iconic design conceived by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in 1955.
Whilst retaining its silhouette of anatomical curves and aesthetic lightness, this version fully envelops the 9-layer, pressure-moulded veneer shell with soft, high-density polyurethane (PUR) foam padding and meticulous upholstery in premium-quality fabric or leather.
Ideal for high-end residential dining rooms, boardrooms, executive workspaces and demanding contract projects, it offers exceptionally soft support without compromising the elasticity or sturdiness of the original frame. It rests on a lightweight base with four 14 mm steel tube legs and allows for protected stacking (up to six units with protective padding).
Selection of Available Fabrics and Leathers:
Exclusive Fritz Hansen Leathers
- Essential Leather (Cat. 3): Semi-corrected, lightly pigmented cowhide with a uniform grain. It offers excellent durability, high resistance to daily wear and tear, and easy maintenance, whilst retaining a wonderfully soft feel.
- Natural Leather (Cat. 5): 100% natural pure aniline leather without a synthetic protective coating. It reveals the leather’s natural markings and authentic texture, offering an ultra-soft feel and superior breathability that develops an elegant patina over time.
High-End Textile Collection
- B Belfast: A wool fabric with great warmth and a refined texture, ideal for high-traffic residential use. (Composition: 100% Wool).
- Acca: A contemporary technical textile with a subtle appearance and a highly wear-resistant finish. (Composition: 85% Virgin Wool, 15% Polyamide).
- Clay (Kvadrat): A bouclé fabric rich in tactile texture that combines natural fibres to create a sculptural presence. (Composition: 76% Linen, 21% Cotton, 3% Polyester).
