The Romé collection comprises a series of ceramic light fittings that stand out for combining a refined design with a deep, earthy texture.
Inspired by the great masterpieces of Modernist architecture, the entire range takes the cylinder and the disc as its formal starting point to create architectural silhouettes of great geometric strength.
When switched on, the lamps filter and allow light to pass through in a very subtle way, casting a soft, diffused glow that bathes the structure itself. This play of light highlights the beauty of the material’s texture and creates a cosy, warm and serene atmosphere in any room of the house.
This series stems from the sensibility of ceramicist Alex Gabriels in collaboration with Serax and brings together a collection of five distinct designs named nash, maia, rana, nova and fou. To create these pieces, the designer has worked with rough chamotte clay, a material with a raw, wild finish that contrasts perfectly with the geometric purity of the forms. The result is a flawless dialogue between the precision of the design and the organic imperfection of the hand-modelled ceramic, transforming each piece into an artistic object with a strong material identity capable of enhancing contemporary spaces both day and night.
