Designed by Hvidt & Mølgaard in 1950, the AX armchair has a unique cultural character, coming from the trends after the Second World War.

AX brought Hvidt & Mølgaard received international accolades, including the Diplôme d'Honneur at the Milan Triennale in 1951.

The collection was exhibited in the “Design in Scandinavia” exhibition in the United States, which toured 24 locations from 1954 to 1957, which helped it become its largest and most popular export product, earning the reputation of being the most comfortable wooden loungechair ever made.

Since then it has become a classic, exhibited in important museums around the world.
