Both luminaires stem from a quest for lighting that does not demand attention in a garish way or take up too much space, but rather makes a simple and elegant aesthetic statement thanks to its discreet nature. Their structure, built from interwoven and overlapping strips of stoneware, filters and casts the light softly, creating a warm atmosphere and an evocative play of light and shadow in any room of the house.

These pieces are the result of experimentation in the workshop of designer and ceramist Anita Le Grelle for the brand Serax. After experimenting with and joining different strips of stoneware clay in her studio, she brought these two wall light options to life; they also pay tribute to her twin sons by bearing their names. The result is a handcrafted, approachable and timeless design that impeccably balances the function of lighting with the tactile and natural texture of exposed ceramic.
