Designed in 1986 by Oscar Tusquets, Bib Luz was born out of the architect’s personal quest to find the perfect lighting for his own library.

Needing a lightweight piece that would go unnoticed and fit onto any shelf, inspiration struck immediately: to replace a book with an object of the same silhouette.

Made from a solid, book-shaped metal frame, Bib Luz blends in perfectly amongst the volumes on any bookshelf.

A slender, adjustable arm emerges from the spine, fitted with an adjustable spotlight that projects a soft, direct beam of light onto the spines or pages, preventing glare. Furthermore, its system allows multiple units to be connected in series to a single wall socket, facilitating lighting arrangements in bookcases or shelving units at different heights.
