Burra is a lounge chair with a sculptural presence and a soft aesthetic, designed as an exploration of comfort and rounded forms.

Its spacious, enveloping seat is paired with a curved backrest that flows naturally into the armrests, creating an organic silhouette where every element contributes to a sense of ‘softness’ and embrace. With its generous proportions and bold character, Burra serves as a centrepiece, bringing functionality and an artistic touch to any interior.

Burra features a swivel base with a return mechanism, designed to provide mobility and return to its original position comfortably and naturally. Inside, a steel reinforcement frame provides stability and strength, whilst the combination of elastic straps, firm moulded foam and soft moulded foam ensures a comfortable and cosy seat. The base is made from FSC™-certified wood (FSC-C163461) and wood from other controlled sources.

The name Burra, short for burrata—the round Italian cheese famous for its softness—reinforces the central idea of the design.

This version is upholstered in Steelcut Trio 3, a particularly durable wool upholstery fabric with the same construction as Steelcut. Originally designed by Frans Dijkmeijer, it is presented in colour combinations updated by Giulio Ridolfo. Its three-dimensional surface is reminiscent of small pyramids or steel spikes and, despite the complexity of its innovative weave, maintains a simple and precise appearance. Steelcut Trio is yarn-dyed and manufactured using three different coloured threads, which adds depth and nuance to the overall effect.
