The renowned French designer Pierre Paulin originally designed the iconic Pacha Lounge Chair in 1975. Paulin conceived this armchair in keeping with the emerging style of his era, replacing the austerity of post-war design with a new, dynamic and expressive approach.

He succeeded in bringing a true sense of elegance to the Pacha Lounge Chair’s rounded forms by finding the perfect proportions, raising it slightly above its base and creating distinctive inward-sloping seam lines in the foam and upholstery.

This outdoor version adapts the original design for enjoyment in the open air on terraces, in gardens or on patios. It preserves intact Pierre Paulin’s philosophy and his commitment to the concept of low-level living – a modern way of living and sitting close to the ground that dispensed entirely with traditional legs.

Crafted from highly weather-resistant materials, quick-drying foams and a frame protected against moisture and UV rays, the curved, organic forms of the Pacha Outdoor Lounge Chair are designed to envelop the body, providing an experience of absolute comfort and an architectural flair to outdoor spaces.

It features a swivel base with an exclusive Moss Grey finish, crafted from metal with a special, highly resistant treatment for continuous outdoor use.

• Libera: Technical outdoor fabric with high resistance to water, UV rays and the elements, featuring a soft, fine-grained texture and a natural look, made from 100 per cent weather-resistant polypropylene.
• Lorkey: Outdoor upholstery with a structured weave and subtle textural relief, designed to withstand intense sunlight and outdoor wear and tear, made from 100 per cent solution-dyed acrylic.
• Chevron Outdoor: An outdoor fabric with an elegant and iconic zigzag or herringbone pattern, highly resistant to water, fading and mould, made from 100 per cent technical, weather-resistant polypropylene.
