Designed in 1950 by Børge Mogensen, Carl Hansen & Søn reintroduced the Huntsman Chair in 2019. First presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition as part of Mogensen's “hunting lodge theme,” the chair is accompanied by the matching Huntsman Table.

The chair brings together two distinct expressions of design: simplicity and complexity, resulting in a traditional design with unique details. 

Featuring a rugged elegance, the rigorous design allows the natural, high-quality materials to speak for themselves: Luxurious saddle leather is held taut by steel or brass buckles and clasps and contrasted with a solid wood frame. The design results in a flexible and comfortable saddle that allows for various seating positions.

This chair, which underscores Mogensen's importance to the success of Danish modernism, helped define his style. With its premium materials and timeless craftsmanship, the chair is ideal for a modern context, as its versatile character will endure for generations.
