The Crate Dining Table by HAY is an outdoor dining table with clean lines and a minimalist design, created to offer functionality and comfort without taking up too much space.

Its rectangular top and diagonal crossbars reinforce a lightweight, beautifully proportioned structure, ideal for terraces, gardens and patios where a practical piece with an architectural presence is desired.

Made from solid pine and finished with water-based lacquer, it is available in a range of colours and two lengths, adapting to different spaces and needs.

The original design was created in 1934 by the Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld to make use of surplus wooden shipping crates. Today it is being relaunched as part of a Rietveld Originals x HAY collaboration, respecting the balanced proportions and rational approach to design, optimising the assembly process and maintaining its structural simplicity.
