Designed in 1970 by André Ricard for Santa & Cole, the Fontana pendant lamp pays homage to the avant-garde artist Lucio Fontana, who revolutionised art history by slitting his oil paintings to explore a new form of three-dimensionality at the height of the Space Age.

This first version of the range retains its futuristic appearance thanks to the carefully proportioned scale of its half-spherical shade and its unmistakable longitudinal slit, which casts a refined, peripheral indirect light.

Its exterior features a high-gloss white-grey finish that contrasts elegantly with the subtle matt finish of its interior.

To ensure maximum visual comfort, the luminaire houses a white translucent methacrylate diffuser that directs a clean, warm and glare-free downward light flow, making it ideal for illuminating dining tables, bars or gathering areas.
