Designed by André Ricard in 2021 for Santa & Cole, the Fontana Alta floor lamp expands the celebrated Fontana range more than fifty years after the original design was created.

Its name pays homage to the avant-garde artist Lucio Fontana, whose revolutionary act of slitting the canvas during the Space Age challenged the three-dimensionality of art; an inspiration reflected in the subtle longitudinal slit in its hemispherical shade, through which it casts a refined peripheral light.

Its slender structure rests on a discreet, highly stable circular base and features a lower diffuser made of translucent white methacrylate that softens the downward beam of light.

Fitted with a dimmer switch integrated directly into the luminaire, the Fontana Alta is a versatile piece that brings timeless elegance and a warm ambience to the tranquillity of the home as well as to workspaces and restaurants.
