Rose me Twice takes its cue from a phrase that echoes like a refrain, “Rose is a rose is a rose…”, and transforms it into a rose that is clear, direct and full of nuances.

Jean-Claude Ellena moves here within an immense universe—more than 40,000 varieties—and chooses an interpretation that seeks not opulence, but precision: a natural rose that breathes, striking a balance between petal, sap and skin.

The opening is of a natural rose, fresh and transparent, like a freshly cut bouquet, with that slightly damp and luminous sensation the flower has when it still retains the dew. On the skin it feels crisp and elegant, with a very subtle “tea” note, that olfactory signature associated with tea-type hybrid roses, where a delicately violet and tea-like facet emerges, linked to ionone.

At the heart, redcurrant brings a fine, tart fruity twist, like a juicy flash that lifts the rose without sweetening it. This part feels more vibrant and modern, a rose with a pulse, with a contrast between the floral and a crisp red fruit that energises and makes the sillage more addictive.

At the base, green foliage brings back the sensation of stem and leaf, as if the rose were still whole, and white musk leaves a clean, soft and very skin-like finish.

The result is a rose that evolves from pure florals to a fresh fruity heart, ending in a green and musky trail that is discreet, refined and easy to wear.
