Designed in 1962 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos, Taccia is an undisputed icon of Italian industrial design.

Originally conceived with the idea of ‘inverting’ a pendant lamp, its famous fluted aluminium base — inspired by the shape of a heat-dissipating radiator — supports an imposing, adjustable shade that directs light towards an upper concave reflector, achieving indirect, reflected lighting that is completely glare-free.

Its mouth-blown clear glass diffuser can be freely adjusted to direct the light beam as desired, whilst its concave aluminium reflector features a glossy white finish on the exterior and a matt white finish on the interior. The body is available in a select range of finishes: black, matt white, silver anodised or bronze anodised, all combined with a solid nickel-plated metal base.

Equipped with integrated dimmable LED technology offering high colour rendering (2700K) and a dimmer that allows the light intensity to be adjusted from 10% to 100%, Taccia is available in two sizes (Taccia and Taccia Small) that coexist perfectly within the same technical specifications to suit any piece of furniture, desk or space.
