The iconic CH24 Wishbone Chair, designed in 1949 by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn, has been reimagined with a seat crafted from soft leather in carefully selected natural shades, whilst remaining true to the designer’s original vision of lightness and comfort.

Drawing inspiration from the beauty of antique Chinese furniture, Wegner created a timeless design language within Scandinavian design that reflects a profound mastery of the art of cabinet-making.

With over 70 years of uninterrupted production, each CH24 chair is crafted in Denmark through a rigorous process involving more than 100 artisanal steps. Its fourteen individual pieces of FSC™-certified timber are assembled and polished by hand with the utmost precision, highlighting its unmistakable Y-shaped backrest and steam-curved edge.

This new leather version expands the possibilities for personalisation, offering everything from the sophisticated Terra aniline leather – with its silky matt finish that evolves over time – to the highly durable Loke and Thor options for everyday use.
