The Pao Portable Lamp by HAY, designed in collaboration with Naoto Fukasawa, takes its name from the soft, luminous silhouette of traditional Mongolian Pao yurts.

With a discreet and simple aesthetic, Fukasawa has created an everyday object that blends harmoniously with its surroundings, designed to provide warm, welcoming light without dominating the space.

The base and shade are made from durable polycarbonate with a smooth, glossy finish, and the light source is concealed within the shade to provide diffused downward lighting. Compact and battery-powered, it can be easily moved around the house or taken out into the garden and other outdoor spaces.
