Designed in 1928, the PH 3½–2½ Table is part of Poul Henningsen's developments around his famous three-shade system. Based on the original drawings, it incorporates the first type of shade holder with adjustment screws. The upper metal shade, with a rolled edge, acts as a decorative detail and stabilizer, giving it greater visual presence. The two lower shades, in hand-blown opal glass, optimize the light by combining a glossy finish on the outside and a matte finish on the inside. The brown-painted brass frame replicates the appearance of the burnished brass of the period, using an updated, environmentally friendly process. The result is a table lamp that directs the light gently downwards, providing functional lighting without glare.
